About me

Hi, I’m Keira and I’m a 16-year-old aspiring fashion designer. I picked up my mum’s old sewing machine in 2023 and I’ve been making my designs come to life from my bedroom since.

I remember the first custom garment I made for my friend. It was for a concert. She sent me inspo photos and her measurements, and from there we chose the perfect fabrics together. After a few weeks, the final piece was ready. Seeing the smile on her face as she tried it on gave me every reason to do what I do - I want to create garments which give people the same feeling my friend felt.

From then I’ve done numerous custom garments, such as formal, pageant, and editorial dresses. At the end of 2024, I had created so many pieces over the year that I decided to host my first fashion show.

But that was only just the beginning for me. I’m constantly experimenting with new techniques and designs, growing my skills and taking things day by day, stitch by stitch working towards my next big dreams.

First dress I designed and made myself for my 15th birthday.

Dress I made to attend my first ever Australian Fashion week (also the most stressful dress making this the night before I needed to wear it.)

My favourite custom look I’ve done so far made using upcycled Mexican fabrics.

The most technically difficult dress I’ve made which involved mechanics and coding to make motorised butterfly wings.
